Audition Notice

Kickshaw Theatre is holding general auditions for our production of The Ding Dongs by Brenda Withers on Monday, August 13th, 2018, noon-9pm at Tipping Point Theatre in Northville, Michigan.

Synopsis: When Joe and Natalie, a sweet-faced couple, show up on a suburban doorstep, the tight-lipped homeowner, Redelmo, finds their story suspicious: the house, they claim, was Joe’s childhood home and they’ve driven all this way in hopes of getting a quick peek around. Bewildered by their strangly sunny dispositions, Redelmo tries to keep the visitors at bay, but Joe and Natalie’s twisted wordplay preys on their host’s sense of civility.

Seeking: JOE (Male, 30s-40s)- An affable, easy-going suburban dad. Married to Natalie, the good cop to her bad. Sweet, likable, more aware than he lets on. (The roles of Natalie and Redelmo have already been cast.)

Please prepare a one-minute comedic monologue. Bring a headshot and resume or email it to us ahead of your audition.
